About Grey Horse Consulting, LLC

Rachel Endecott, PhD, founded Grey Horse Consulting in September 2020. Dr. Endecott grew up on a family cow-calf operation in southwest Montana, where she still ranches with her family today. She received her BS in Animal Science at Montana State University and her MS and PhD at New Mexico State University in Range Beef Cattle Nutrition with Reproductive Physiology and Molecular Biology minors.  

Rachel spent eleven years as the Extension Beef Cattle Specialist at her alma mater, Montana State. Half of those years were based off-campus in Miles City, with the last half on campus in Bozeman. After her time at MSU, Rachel directed the DNA department at the American Simmental Association and was the co-managing editor of ASA Publication, Inc. for three years. 

Grey Horse Consulting is the perfect vehicle for the combination of Rachel's two passions: agriculture and communications. Endecott has a reputation as a voracious reader and has been called on by friends, family, and colleagues to assist with proofing and editing their writing projects for years. She has wide-ranging print and digital writing experience from scientific manuscripts to less-formal but impactful educational pieces to social media communication as well as breed association print and digital publication experience.
